Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
As you can see, one of the chairs has had the braid removed whereas the other has it in place still. The current upholstery is in good condition, but may not be to your taste, so I can have them re upholstered for you in your own choice of fabric, or you may prefer to have them as they stand here and take your time choosing fabrics.

They are a comfortable pair of chairs, but not something you would tend to sit in all evening. Very decorative and beautifully painted and gilt highlighted. They are a great decorative statement.
The price shown is for the pair of chairs as they are now.
