A Late 19th Century French Louis XVI Style Fauteuil

A late 19th century French painted Louis XVI style fauteuil, the nearly circular back with bow top and ribbon surround and with reeded stuffover arms over a generous seat with carved seatrail over tapering fluted supports. Painted in off white with gilt highlights, and upholstered with a gros- and petit-point needlework cover to both seat and back with floral motifs over a sage green ground. French circa 1890.
Condition: Excellent, the chair is solid and robust, the paint is in good condition and the needlework is in extremely good order.
