Description

Beautiful pair of fine quality black lacquered and decorated elbow chairs with oval cane inserts and a gilt highlighting. Circa 1900

Very nice proportions to these chairs and they are very decorative, although are practical too if you were to use them as desk chairs, carver dining chairs, or just as additional seating in a living room.

I can see them being used more decoratively along with a Regency cabinet and mirror above as shown in the example.

The condition to both chairs is good, solid frames and the seats have been recently upholstered in a pale gold damask style fabric. There are paint chips and knocks to the frames as you can see, but nothing of any concern and all to be expected.
