An Early 20th Century Mahogany Desk Chair

1900 - 1920
Description

A leather seated mahogany desk chair with swags inlaid with boxwood and holly, in a design first made in the Adam period of the late 18th century. Square tapering legs terminating in a spade foot. A good quality, solid chair with a nice faded patina. The leather seat was probably recovered around 50 years ago. Designed as a desk chair and not an arm chair from a suite.
