Very decorative and fantastic size large c18th Italian carved giltwood mirror.
Beautifully carved frame and much of the original gild leaf remains and there are areas of wear and touch ups as you would expect on a piece of this age. It has certainly been able to age gracefully.
The mirror plate is in good condition with light wear and foxing, but very little.
As you can see from the second image, the mirror is of a great proportion and hangs very well over the chiffonier as an example.
The mirror is fitted with a new and very secure hanging chain for you and will hang from a single screw fixing as it is not terribly heavy.
Lovely condition and a great unusual mirror.
