A George IV Mahogany Bergère Chair

A good George IV library bergère tub armchair, the reeded backrail forming the back and sides to the downswept arms, with rattan caned sides and seat, the substantial reeded seatrail over fluted tapering supports terminating in brass castors and with outswept legs to the rear with casters ditto. English circa 1830.
 
Condition: Overall very good, the frame is solid and robust, the caning is on the whole in very good condition. The castors are the originals. The left back leg has at some point in the past been spliced (see photo). The chair comes with a firm squab buttoned cushion.
