A George III Elm Shield Back Elbow Chair

A George III shield back elbow chair in elm, of country type in the Sheraton manner, the shield shaped back with pierced waisted splat and downswept arms to the stuffover seat, on square tapering supports united by stretchers. English circa 1790.
 
Condition: Overall very good; the chair is solid and comfortable. There are a small number of old worm holes but nothing active. It has recently been reupholstered and recovered using a pale blue herringbone linen.
