Description

A good and honest English c17th solid carved oak wainscot armchair with a rope webbed and cushion seat, circa 1680.

Beautifully carved and of wonderful proportions, this is a fabulous decor piece, but equally can be used and is remarkably comfortable too.

The condition of the chair is good and it looks to have had a replacement left arm ( as you look at it ) some time in the 19th century, but otherwise, it's in lovely original condition and I have reflected the c19th arm in the price for you.

The rope webbing seat has been recently done, so it's very secure and you might prefer to just show the chair with the thinner seat pad, but you have the option of the additional red cushion seat too.
