The chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain sage green leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The chair has also been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard. The chair sits on four splayed solid oak legs that terminate on its original steel castors. The chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees. The seat does not recline and it is not height adjustable – many Victorian and early Edwardian office chairs were constructed this way. The chair mechanism has been cleaned, restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair frame is sturdy and the item is extremely comfortable to sit on, as it features a lovely padded seat.

Condition Report:
The chair and mechanism are in excellent condition, considering its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain sage green leather, which incorporates the traditional brass studwork tacks to the seat perimeter. Therefore, the leather is in excellent condition, with no wear, fading or damage. The revolving mechanism is in good working order, having just been cleaned, restored and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair features rich golden oak colour, having been professionally French polished, by hand, in our workshops. The chair features the original steel castors, which are also in good condition. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
