Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The main body of the frame is moulded on both sides and at the base is further foliate carving with upright carved leaves and long scrolling c-scrolls and s- scrolls form the base with a central small carved section. The frame retains its original mirror plate and original gilding.
