Faux Bamboo And Leather Folding Chair With Nickel Finials

Very unusual and fantastically design ebonised faux bamboo and leather folding chair.
 
The faux bamboo suggests of an early c19th Regency period, but the chair is later, circa 1900 and in super condition. Well finished with what looks to me like chrome plating on brass for the finials and feet.
 
The ebonised faux bamboo frame is beautiful and well detailed. It has cleaned and polished up to give a lovely deep finish.
 
The dark green leather looks to have been replaced mid c20th and is in good condition other than the small split you can see at the back of the seat. This is being patched by my restorer, so will be secure and will stop it from growing, but there will be a scare left behind, although it will be stained and hidden.
 
When the chair is expanded, it gives a very comfortable seat and the curve to the back is lovely too. The bracing leather straps holding the arms and the back in place are very good and showing no signs of stress, so if you were planning to use the cha...
