A pair of early Victorian gilt pier mirrors circa 1850 by Charles Nosotti with wonderful sparkly original mercury plates and a combination of oil and water gilding . Charles Nosotti came from Milan to London in the 1830’s and soon established himself as on of the leading manufacturers of looking glasses receiving a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria at his premises at 398 and 399 Oxford St.
