This is a 19th Century Continental alabaster box. I believe it to be either French or Italian. It is surmounted by a carved figure of a seated spaniel dog. The box is of rectangular form with carved detail to the lid, sides and supports.
Some elements appear to have been re-glued in the past, in particular the blocks on the underside of the lid, and the feet/supports. Alabaster is a soft material so there is some wear to most of the box and a few small chips. There are also some losses to the brown pigment.
All items come with free shipping throughout the UK. They will be sent using a recorded or signed for service such as Royal Mail's Special Delivery.
For other international buyers I have added postage costs to the listings.
Please contact me using my email tjrtrading@hotmail.co.uk or through the contact details section on my listings as I am often out sourcing stock and am unable to answer my telephone. I can answer any questions much better by email.
