Large French Antique Gilt Overmantel - Louis Philippe

Description

Stunning antique French Louis Philippe overmantel.

There is an identical mirror also available. Identical frames are very hard to find.

It has its gorgeous original gilt (real gold leaf) on gesso frame in a leaf design in fantastic condition with no chips at all. The frame dates from around 1860.

It also has its original pine backboards with the maker's stamp CH. BUQUET PARIS.

The heavy glass is NOT original to the frame but is in perfect condition, no scratches.
