Here we have for sale today this 18th Century Armchair.
This is a good early one about 1750 and all made in Ash in this never seen before country folk art style.
I would imagine this was all turned in green wood at its time of manufacture, and standing on these turned legs with this concave front stretchers out-swept arms with turned supports. A fine turned spindle back and fitted with this rush seat.
Evendiance of it painted green in the Georgian period, but now having this mellow Ash colour (please see pictures)
This chair is solid in all its joints, with NO breaks, NO splits and NO woodworm. Please note that this chair is in very good condition for its age and requires no restoration.
During this COVID-19 situation we are happy to store purchased items large and small (at NO storage charge) until you are in a position to receive them, however we will continue to deliver to UK addresses, until and if the authorities forbid this movement.
