Description

This is a very good English overmantel mirror from the early Victorian period, circa 1840. The mirror retains its original gilding in excellent order and has a good mirror plate in nice clean condition, with only very minor ageing marks. The frame has a rope twist and beaded design mounted with finely detailed fern leaf and harebells to the crest and sides. It is mounted on the original narrow ebonised plinth base. The mirror is a very nice example and a good size measuring 129 cms wide by 139 cms wide high.
