Set of Six 1930's Oak Tub Chairs by Gordon Russell

A superb long set of English solid oak dining chairs by Gordon Russell in 1930. Each tub chair has an upolstered drop in seat pad and vertical back splats that support a curved U shaped arm and back rest. They all stand on square, tapering legs which have a stepped, cutaway H stretcher. All six of these Gordon Russell oak tub style dining chairs are in excellent, strong and original condition, the fabric on the seats is period and is quite clean but probably requires a new top fabric. A rare design and lovely to find a set of six still together. They are a generous size and are the perfect height for dining.
