Description

A Pair of George I Oak Chairs, Back Stools.
The early 18th century chairs, each with an arcaded top rail, decorated with a heart centre, sweeping to the scrolled top vertical side rails, enclosing fielded panel backs. The lower rails with bow decoration, above the seats, finished with bow friezes, as per the lower back rails. The chairs standing on ringed and shaped legs, joined by ringed and tapered cross stretchers. The legs finished with inverted cup feet.
Height 39 1/2 inches, 100cm.
Width 17 1/2 inches, 45cm.
Depth 16 inches, 41cm.
Date circa 1710.
