Triptych Set of French Painted Mirrors with Original Glass

Unusual triptych set of three mirrors, comprising a pair of pier mirrors and a larger central mirror in the French Directoire style.

The mirrors are painted in an old off white base colour and a typical French green highlight. I would say the base colour is the original, but the highlighting has been done at a later date.

You may choose to keep them as they are, or have them entirely re painted in a colour to suit your scheme.

Very decorative set if you hang them together as shown here, but the narrower pair of mirrors could work well as pier mirrors and the larger central mirror could hang as an overmantle mirror perhaps. Although I think they look great as a set of three mirrors hanging together.

The dimensions shown below are for the individual mirrors, but also the full width of the three if you spaced them roughly as I have.

There are signs of age to the old paint finish and also, the mirrors do have some foxing too. Nice to keep the original mirrors, but if you would prefer to have perfect mirrors, I can replace them all for you

or you may be able to do this yourself if preferred.

Measuring:

Wall width as shown together 71” or 180cm total width

Left and right mirrors:

49 1/2” or 126cm high

15 3/4” or 40cm wide

Central mirror:

52” or 132cm high

22” or 56cm wide
