Set of Four 1940's Dining Chairs by Edward Gardiner

A good quality set of four, ladderback dining chairs in ash wood, made by Edward Gardiner from a design by Ernest Gimson. All the rush seating is in good, strong condition and they are a good, original colour. Stamped Ed Gardiner on leg. Gardiner worked for Gimson as a chairmaker before setting up his own workshop near Rugby. All four Gardiner dining chairs are solid and correct, a classic design.
