Here we have a stunning George III Chippendale period Elm armchair c1770. As you can see the chair has outstanding colour and patina. The chair has been made with carefully selected timbers chosen for their wonderful grain. There is an arched top with typical Chippendale splat to the back. The arms are beautifully shaped with exquisite turned supports. There is a thumb moulded edge to the seat surround and squared and tapered legs joined by an H sttetcher. The seat drops in and has crewel fabric which is nicely worn. If you would prefere a Chestnut Leather seat then this can be arranged at a cost of £95. A super period chair in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 38 inches high 25 wide and 18 deep. The seat height is approx 18.5.
