Antique French 19th Century Gesso Gilt Louis Philippe Mirror

Description

Pretty 19th century French Louis Philippe mirror dating from around 1860.

It predominately has its bare gesso (original French plaster) frame with some of its gilt (gold leaf) showing through.

It has its original glass in excellent condition, with light speckles/foxing. It has no scratches.

It would look great used for its purpose as an overmantel mirror above a fireplace or just hanging on a wall.
