Sublime George 1st Walnut Hand Chair

Description

Fine early 18th century George 1st solid walnut cabriole leg hand chair. This beautiful shaped chair has cabriole legs with claw and ball feet to the front with shaped legs with pad feet to the back. The seat is a lovely shape and has its original drop in seat pad. The back splat is a nice shape with lovely shaped top rail. The chair has all of its original "ears" and all the original blocks inside. The chair is a gorgeous original colour with wonderful patination and waxed finish.

The chair is basically in very good condition for its age, it is slightly loose on the back joints and there is a small piece missing at the top on the right hand side. Both of these points can be properly restored if required.

SIZE; 21" across the front by 18" deep by 39 1/2" high overall. The deat height is 19".
