French C19th Silver and Gilt Overmantle Mirror

Description

Lovely quality French c19th silver and gilt mirror with its original mercury mirror glass.

Very decorative mirror and with the original glass giving some signs of old age with a few blemishes here and there but also that gorgeous sparkle too.

The silver gilt frame is figured and the gilded top is beautiful too with the classical urn, scrolls and leaves. The base of the mirror has gilded scrolls too.

The mirror can sit on a mantle or be free hanging, would also look lovely as a hall mirror or console table mirror too.

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
