A good set of 6 George III Chippendale period mahogany dining chairs.

After a design from the Chippendale Director.

It is rare for Chippendale period chairs to have such good carving and to still have their original colour and patina. They are museum quality.

circa 1765

1 chair has a repaired back splat that is structurally sound (see last photo). Handsome old needlework seats but would benefit from more stuffing and new webbing if changed.
