Unusually wide 19th century French gilt overmantel bistro mirror. It is almost square.

It dates from 1870.

It has its beautiful original worn gilt (real gold leaf) on gesso frame in a subtle etched leaf design and lovely original glass with lots of foxing and spots that show it is antique.

It would look stunning used as an overmantel above a wide mantelpiece, in a hallway above a table or hanging on any large wall.
