Description

A Victorian oak high back desk or library chair. The top having 2 rails with turnings between and acorn finials. The back supported by sugar barley twist turnings leading to shaped open arms with padded elbow rests. The upholstered seat having a shield shape Latin slogan “non magni pendis quia contigit” which loosely translates as "I value it highly because it came” to either side are a rampant lion and unicorn. The chair is raised on barley twist front legs with brass cup casters and the whole is in very good condition. Dimensions:- Height…51’’/ 129cm. Width…25.75’’/ 65.5cm. Depth…26’’/ 66cm.
