Large 19th Century French Painted Overmantel Mirror

Beautiful 19th century French antique painted overmantel mirror.

It dates from around 1870.

It has its original gesso frame in an unusual floral design and it’s stunning, heavy and rare mercury glass that gives a reflection like no other.

It has its original pine backboards.

It has been painted in a chalk paint in a soft ‘antique’ white finish and then sealed.

It would look fantastic as an overmantel mirror, above a fireplace or hanging from a large wall.
