Unusual Tall Walnut Mirror with Oil Painting Panel

A very unusual walnut mirror with still life oil painting in the pediment. The mirror is of a typical Georgian revival design but it is of a very good quality and unusual tall and thin proportions. The mirror frame has a ogee moulded walnut frame with a gilt and carved inside edge. The walnut is of a particularly good colour and patina for this period. The mirror plate is the original and in good condition. The pediment of typical Georgian design, is occupied by a still life oil on panel. The painting is of the most wonderful quality and is a stunning work in its own right. The whole mirror is in excellent untouched condition and most likely a one off commissioned piece. C.1900
