Description

A very fine example of a Victorian bird's eye maple framed mirror. This beautiful wall-hanging rectangular mirror has a simply-mounded single faceted frame with an original untouched finish showing the maple off to its full advantage. There is a moulded gilt sight edge enclosing a lovely plate which has a warm reflection and a few very minor almost unnoticeable age-related de-silvering blemishes. It has an old but later backing board to protect the back of the plate. This stunning 19th century mirror is English, and it dates from c.1870s.
