Fine George 2nd Cuban Mahogany Chair

Description

FINE large size mid 18th century George 2nd Cuban mahogany single chair. Typical early Georgian design with square legs with quarter round mouldings with stretchers underneath all round. Lovely shape top rail with turn over detail to the corners and nice shape pierced back splat. The chair is heavy, having been made from the best of timbers. The original drop in seat is upholstered in green leather.

The chair is in very good condition for age and retains a gorgeous patination with waxed finish.

SIZE; 21" across the front by 19" deep by 39" high. Seat height is 18".
