Description

A beautiful example of a late Georgian / early Victorian small gilded overmantel mirror. The decoration to all four corners is giltwood, not moulded plaster, and it retains its original water gilded finish with a particularly soft lustre and a glowing patina. The mirror plate itself is also original; it is perfectly everyday-usable but with the usual signs of age that give a beautiful warm reflection. This stunning mirror is English dating from c1825 to c1850.
