Description

A fine example of a Georgian mahogany serpentine-fronted three-drawer shield-shaped toilet mirror or dressing table mirror. The box base is cross banded and edged in boxwood, and the three drawers are exquisitely crafted using the finest of dovetail joints. All four turned ivory roundels to the shaped upright supports are present and each of the drawers also have a delicately turned pull handle. It rests on four well-carved ogee bracket feet. This beautiful dressing mirror or swing mirror is English, c1800.
