Very good pair of c19th French solid oak throne armchairs, beautifully carved and in good condition.
The upholstery, as you can see, is vintage and the chairs would benefit from being re upholstered, but I have them priced as the pair and as you see them here.
They are comfortable now and you may wish to have the vintage upholstery professionally cleaned and kept as is.
The rear of the seats has a plain velvet which is also certainly vintage, if not original. There are some worn areas to this as you can see in the photos, but I rather like it as it is to be honest.
The frames are a little unusual with slightly more shape to the frames and lovely deep scrolling arms.
The chairs do have a set of castors which look to be original and in working condition.
These chairs would be suitable for using as dining carver chairs, although depending on the height of your table as these do have sprung seats so they drop down a bit when you sit in them. Or, great as additional seatin
