Regency Overmantel Mirror with Decorative Frieze

Description

Circa 1815, Regency giltwood and gesso overmantel mirror. The central scalloped shell is surrounded by a frieze decorated with musical instruments on a foliate background. This is above the 3 original mirror plates, flanked at each end by fluted pilasters with stylish capitals. The mirror is in excellent condition.
