19th C. Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Vase
This is an elaborated painted Chinese porcelain vase in the Famille Rose style from the 19th century.
The scene on the vase depicts most probably the Chinese New Year celebration.
The scene shows an interior with multiple people, some of them of higher cast and others playing instruments, dancing and having lanterns on the galleries.
At the left hand side of the vase there is a person ''riding a dragon, flanked by multiple people carrying lanterns and dancing, above them there is a dragon procession with people carrying a dragon on posts and people carrying flags and musical instruments.
Behind the dragon scene there is a scene of people going over a bridge on horse back and two people carrying elaborate lanterns.
Above the bridge scene there is a dragon boat with people rowing and flags.
The vase has a signature written on the side of the bridge.
The vase is fitted with a rosewood lid .
The vase has no cracks, chips and or restoration.
