A fine set of 19th century Chippendale style ladder-back Dining Chairs including two carvers.
This fine and rare set are well drawn with serpentine shaped rails to the backs with carved detail of trailing scrolls. The drop in seat are upholstered in a red damask which has some age but is still useable. They stand on square chamfered legs with ''H'' stretchers.
Twelve of the chairs date to about 1870, and two are of later date, probably early 20th century which are exact copies.
