Christopher Buck Antiques Ltd. has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The drop in seat are upholstered in a red damask which has some age but is still useable. They stand on square chamfered legs with 'H' stretchers.
Twelve of the chairs date to about 1870, and two are of later date, probably early 20th century which are exact copies.
