A beautiful Harlequin (matched) set of eight mid 18th century ash and elm ladderback chairs. They have a wonderful colour and patination. As you could expect there are a few old worm holes here and there which we have treated to be on the safe side plus one and two old repairs, one of which is at least 100 years old and is a work of art in of itself, please see photograph of curved steel brace. These chairs are getting hard to find in any condition and are still very underrated. They would have been more expensive in the 1980''s.
