Victorian Oak Gothic Revival Arm Chair Stamped T. Wright

This FINE VICTORIAN OAK GOTHIC REVIVAL ARM CHAIR is stamped on the underside of the back rail with the Maker's Name 'T. WRIGHT'. It dates from circa 1870.

It is a good example of the Victorians pursuit of the Revival of the Gothic Style. The CHAIR is a mixture of solidity of form embellished with decorative elements.

Although not newly upholstered the Chair was professionally rewebbed and recovered within the last 10 years. The cover is attractive and there is a matching cushion for added comfort.

The CHAIR is strong and ready for the home.
