A set of 12 single & 2 carver Regency mahogany dining chairs, made from the finest timber ( probably entering the country via Whitehaven) known as Whitehaven Timber and used by firms in the north of England, Gillows of Lancaster being a strong possibility. One chair now has a later back as it had been cut to be used as a stool.
Good long sets of chairs of this quality are few and far between and never cheap when discovered.
