Rare Antique Venetian Mirror Very Large

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very large and imposing Venetian glass mirror in superb condition dating from around 1900. The mirror is extremely rare from this period on this scale so very hard to come by and particularly so in this excellent clean condition. The mirror has a large central bevelled plate with attractive stippled gilt slip, framed by beautifully floral engraved marginal plates with decorative scalloped cut edge. The piece retains all of it’s pretty glass floret buttons to the outer engraved plates. This is a fabulous piece that would suit many situations as it could be hung in portrait or landscape fashion.

It is shown here raised slightly on blocks for ease of photography.

The mirror is in beautiful clean condition with remarkably no marks or blemishes and is a super size measuring by 145 cms by 90 cms.
