Description

This is a super quality 19th century French armchair with a fine country house look dating from around 1870. The chair is upholstered in its original, beautiful needlepoint upholstery which is in very good order bearing in mind the age of the chair, with only a few areas of wear as shown in the photographs. The chair is in the Louis XV style, hand painted in a lovely pale duck egg blue to the elaborate carved hardwood frame. This is a very solidly constructed quality piece yet very comfortable to sit in. The chair measures 100 cms high 66 cms wide by 56 cms deep.

Provenance: This chair was part of the residual contents of Bilton Hall, Bilton-on-Ainstey.
