Large Pair of Chippendale Style Arm Chairs

Description

Good pair of 19th century, large size, Chippendale style mahogany arm chairs. These are heavy chairs, made of very good mahogany in the mid 19th century in the Thomas Chippendale style of the mid 18th century. The front legs are superb, cabriole legs with claw and ball feet and carved knees. Nice shape top rail with carved decoration and typical pierced and carved back. Nice shape arms also with carved decoration. The drop in seats have just been professionally re-covered.

These are large size comfy chairs. They are both completely sound with no damage.

SIZE; 23" across the front by 20" deep by 37" high. The seat height is 18 1/2".
