Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Victorian mahogany rectangular wall mirror, circa 1870, in excellent original condition. The item boasts a lovely pronounced moulded mahogany frame, with stunning grain configuration. The frame boasts inset, curved top corners. The back of the mirror retains its original backboards, with a new metal hanging chain (for safety reasons). This mirror has been adapted from a Victorian dressing table some time ago. The mirror retains its original glass, which is in very good condition, with no signs of foxing.
Condition Report:
This mirror is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks the leading edges of the mahogany frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The mirror retains its original glass, which is in excellent condition, showing no signs of foxing. T he back of the mirror retains its original backboards, with a new metal hanging chain (for safety reasons). This mirror has been adapted from a Victorian dressing table some time ago. This item is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to be used.
