A high quality Victorian mahogany hall chair of particularly bold and flamboyant design.

Exuberantly carved single mahogany hall chair raised on bold cabriole legs with a solid seat. The deeply-carved back iof intricately carved design with 'paper-scroll' carving to the top and a central cartouche, resonant of the C18th Venetian style .

Excellent grade of dense mahogany. In superb original condition and with a consistent rich patina.

A strong decorative and practical statement for a hall-way or landing.
