Robert Daws Patent Reclining Library Chair

19th century
Description

Good William IV period patented ROBERT DAWS reclining library chair. Mahogany framed chair with upholstered back and seat. Nice shape legs with original castors and scroll shaped arm. The reclining mechanism works with two large mahogany button under the arms which operate the ratchet system. The chair is fully marked up on the back legs.

The chair is in good order and would be perfectly OK as it is but it woulds probably benefit from re-covering.

SIZE; 22" wide at the front by 25" deep by 39" high. Seat height is 15" from the ground.
