Description

Here we have a wonderful rare early Victorian Windsor armchair c1840. This rare design chair has great colour and patina throughout. There is an overslung broad Elm top rail with spindles to the high back. There is a complicated and decorative central splat which extends to the seat. There are spindles to the lower half which extend through the seat. The arms are beautifully shaped and the turned supports are well executed. There is a super delicious grainy Elm seat and well turned Elm legs joined by an H stretcher. A wonderful period chair which has a lovely rake to the back to make it very comfortable. The chair is in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 43 inches high 22 wide and 17.5 deep.
