Description:
The chair has been newly upholstered in pale gold structured silk upholstery; therefore the upholstery is in excellent condition. The chair boasts elaborate satinwood and bone marquetry detail to the back, arms and frame of the chair. The chair back incorporates a shaped backrest, featuring foliate marquetry inlay panel. The wraparound arms are raised on turned supports at the front. Below, the chair back incorporates a bank of vertical turned spindles. The newly upholstered padded and webbed shaped seat is covered in in a pale gold structured silk brocade material, with matching braiding. The upholstery has been finished with the traditional hessian backing on the underside of the seat. The chair is raised on four finely turned spindle legs, united by turned cross stretchers for additional support. This corner chair is solid in joint and ready to use.

Condition Report:
This corner chair is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the mahogany frame, but nothing significant, considering the age of this item. The frame, back and legs of the chair are completely original. Importantly, the backs and arms are firm and there is no play in the joints. There is no missing inlay or marquetry work. The chair has been newly upholstered in beautiful pale gold coloured structured silk brocade, and finished with matching braiding. The upholstery and braiding is therefore clean and free of marks, dirt or tears. The seat is firm and comfortable to sit on. The chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
