Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
There is a loop at the bottom of the handle for attachment. The original mirror is in extremely good condition The back of the mirror bears the hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1916 and maker’s marks for the silversmith Crisford & Norris, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver.

A lovely mirror with one of the most charmingly embossed silver backs I have seen.
