Fantastic pair of original late c19th French louis xv style tub back armchairs in their original paint finish which has aged very well and consistently.The frames are beautifully carved and highlighted with a very deep blue / charcoal tone and some aged gilding too.The shape of the chairs makes them very decorative, great to look at from every angle.They have a vintage upholstery on them which is in great condition, certainly can remain as they are as it is clean and not torn / worn ( very slight wear to one of the wrist pads ). Although you may of course prefer to re upholster them!The upholstery is a great colour tone, hard to say how long it has been on the chairs...The frames are solid and make for a comfortable chair, suitable for use in the living room and daily use.
